Students give back to the community

The faculty and students volunteered with the Family Harvest Program, a direct community food program of Second Harvest Food Bank.  Family Harvest serves low-income families with minor children under 18 years of age.  Each family receives about 100 pounds of quality food once a  month, including canned, dry and frozen food items as well as fresh produce.

As part of the afternoon's activity, school members helped set up tables, unload and bring food inside a community room, bag fresh produce, distribute food to clients and clean up.  Students earned four hours of community service for their efforts and the knowledge that they did something good for others.

Students to take International Test of English Proficiency
All students in the school's ESL program will be taking the International Test of English Proficiency in both the fall and the spring.  This testing will allow the school to track the progress made by students and the school's ESL Program.  It will be a great way to show students how their English proficiency is growing and for the school to measure what is working in the ESL classes and in what areas we need to give more focus.
